Youtube-hit Legends of Gaming by Endemol Shine and KPN is an online game show format in which different influencers take each other on playing all kinds of different games. This season (’18) they’ve added ‘De Ledge’ to the format; a mystery gamer in a black race suit, which holds resemblance to ‘The Stig’ from Top Gear.
To promote this new character and reach the desired target audience, we developed a Snapchat World Lens with an animated characterised version of De Ledge. With this Snapchat (AR) Lens you were able to unlock De Ledge for 24 hours and post the animated character in your snaps.
The creators of the most original snaps with De Ledge in the lead could win tickets for the Legends of Gaming live-event. #usergeneratedcontent
Getting a call from the office, whilst on Christmas holiday some 3000km away from home on a tropical island, isn’t always the best way to start of your week of relaxation. – in this case though, we just got a GO on the concept we pitched at KPN.
Creative Producing by the pool isn’t worst way to start of a new project now is it.
Within an incredibly short timespan, from concept to delivery, we worked round the clock to have the snapchat lens studio premiere in The Netherlands.

We even managed to add some “hidden” branding on the character and even the ground mesh. 🤫
